Molinara (grape) : ウィキペディア英語版
Molinara (grape)
Molinara is a red Italian wine grape grown primarily in the Veneto region of north eastern Italy. It adds acidity to the blends Valpolicella and Bardolino made with Corvina and Rondinella. The wine's high propensity for oxidation, coupled with its low color extract, has caused a decline in favor and plantings among Venetian vineyards. There has been debate about whether the grape is purple or blue. 〔 J. Robinson (ed) ''"The Oxford Companion to Wine"'' Third Edition pg 447 Oxford University Press 2006 ISBN 0-19-860990-6 〕
This grape is infrequently blended with Merlot to produce soft elegant rosés.
==Synonyms==

Rossara, Rossanella, Brepon molinaro
This grape is used to make Amarone, a famous wine from the Valpolicella region. Amarone is basically a blend of Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara.
